At the Baku Court of Appeal, the appeal complaint regarding the release of Chairman of the PFPA Ali Karimli to house arrest was reviewed. The complaint was not upheld. Another unlawful and politically motivated court decision has been issued against Ali Karimli, who was arrested on fabricated charges.

During the proceedings, the court building was once again surrounded by police, and with the exception of a few individuals, PFPA activists who came to attend the hearing were not allowed in front of the building.

Note: Ali Karimli was detained on November 29 on false charges, and a pre-trial detention measure of 2 months and 15 days was imposed for the period of the initial investigation. He is currently being held at the State Security Service.
