Incident Details: A lone gunman reportedly came around a corner, raised a firearm, and opened fire on the Guardsmen, who were on high-visibility patrol. At least one Guard member or law enforcement officer returned fire, injuring the suspect.
Investigation: Local law enforcement and federal agencies, including the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office, are investigating the shooting, with the FBI leading the inquiry. Officials have described the attack as a “matter of national security”.
