When the Russian side speaks of a readiness to negotiate, it is merely a diplomatic tactic to drag out the war. Russians understand the word “negotiation” as a synonym for Ukraine’s capitulation. There is no “window for negotiations”, there is only a window of opportunity to force the Russians into peace by strength.
