The major argument in favor of “Al Qaeda” is  that “most notably the 9/11 Commission Report and the FBI’s PENTTBOM investigation—conclusively determined” it.
“A cheat and a fraud” – that’s how the
Wikipedia article called this report which is largely based on the FBI’s PENTTBOM investigation, and which “was set up to fail”, by their own admission.

Therefore this argument can be completely disregarded: there is NO GOOD ENOUGH EVIDENCE THAT IT WAS AL QAEDA, on the basis of these reports.
