Kremlin’s special envoy Dmitriev addressed Elon Musk with the idea of building a tunnel from Russia to Alaska via the Bering Strait.
“Imagine connecting the US and Russia, the Americas and the Afro-Eurasia with the Putin-Trump Tunnel,” he wrote on X.
According to Dmitriev, using The Boring Company’s (a tunnel construction service and equipment company founded by Elon Musk) technology, the project could be completed for less than $8 billion and in less than eight years. The tunnel with a railroad and cargo link, he said, will unlock joint resource exploration.
