Politicization of the FBI refers to the use or perceived use of the agency’s vast investigative powers for political gain rather than for impartial law enforcement. It occurs when an administration, an FBI director, or other high-ranking officials direct the Bureau’s activities based on partisan agendas instead of the rule of law. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
