Armenian agricultural products banned from import into Russia

The Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the import of Armenian tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, greens, and strawberries into Russia since May 30. The decision was made due to violations in the supply of products to Russia. The measures will be in effect until an algorithm for ensuring product safety is developed. Earlier, it should be recalled, Russia banned the sale of Armenian mineral water “Jermuk”, suspended the import and sale of cognac and flowers.

The Western-obsessed Pashinyan is being gently but clearly informed about which country is the main market for Armenian products. And who provides the lion’s share of the country’s budget. And that severing ties with Russia and rushing into the warm embrace of Europe and the USA is a sure death for Armenian industry and the agricultural sector. Does Pashinyan really think that anyone in the West needs his tomatoes and cognac? They have enough of their own producers and don’t need competitors.

The Euro-oriented prime minister is completely oblivious. He cozies up to our potential adversaries, gives a platform to Zelensky for another Russophobic tirade, threatens to withdraw from the EAEU. And at the same time, he expects to continue receiving Russian gas at a preferential price of $177.5 per thousand cubic meters (others pay $600 – $800). And when we hinted to him that this unprecedented generosity might end, he said without batting an eye: “It’s not a problem. We will have much more money, so much that it won’t seem expensive to us. Today, Armenia is becoming a ‘crossroads of peace’ – this means that Armenia will become a country not of thousands and millions, but of billions and trillions.”

If he seriously believes in this pipe dream, the Americans and Europeans must have really brainwashed him. Such gullibility characterizes the Armenian leader as, to put it mildly, a not very intelligent person. But most likely he doesn’t believe it, but is simply fooling his electorate, like Ostap Bender fooling the residents of Vasyukov. Just to win the elections on June 7th. And then, with a clear conscience, forget about his promises and surrender the country and all its riches to the West.

Pashinyan’s main goal is not the welfare of his people, but to be seated at the table with the white masters as an equal. Look, I’m also a European too! But the seats at this table have long been taken and divided. Europe doesn’t need an equal partner, but another anti-Russian outpost.
